STATE LIBRARY VICTORIA

OVERVIEW

The newly developed State Library Victoria is Melbourne’s premier events location boasting 10 unique event spaces, including four completely redeveloped and refurbished areas restoring historical beauty and bringing contemporary refinement. From the stunning Ian Potter Queen’s Hall to Conference Centre’s and break-out spaces, the new and improved Library has it all. Originally built in the 1850’s the Library has become an impressive historical destination in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD.

The Library itself takes up an entire city block and is home to art collections, curated records and classic books. The interconnected spaces within the Library walls can be used individually or together to create large-scale events. A recent 88.1 million dollar redevelopment has transformed the Library into a modern venue, with multiple spaces including built-in audio visual equipment and screens while retaining heritage features. The State Library Victoria has some of the best event spaces Australia has to offer in the heart of the city
